Fun sex positions -1-

Sex positions

Ready for great sex but stuck in the same position every time? We've done the dirty work and can tell you exactly which of all the different sex positions is best for you and your partner.

Sex positions for flexibility
While the yoga goer will think little of wrapping their legs behind their head during sex, the less flexible amongst us can struggle to touch their toes, let alone our man's erogenous zones. So we have a position to suit your flexibility and ensure you still have great sex.

Flexibility

Just call me Mary Lou Retton

The Interlock Position

        The Interlock Position

   How to do it:

Start by getting into the missionary position. Have him sit up and bring both his legs forward one at a time, so the soles of his feet are flat on the bed. His knees are bent and he’s facing you. He then leans back and supports himself on his hands. You sit up and support yourself on your hands. Put your ankles on his shoulders and lift your hips as high as possible.

Why you'll love it:

This position is good for aiming at the A-spot (the Anterior Fornix Erogenous). Scientists who were trying to find a cure for vaginal dryness accidentally discovered this hot spot in 1996. They were astonished to find that 95 percent of women became massively turned on when this spot was stimulated. It’s a smooth, extremely sensitive area located halfway between your G-spot and your cervix.

The Swivel Position

The Swivel Position

How to do it:

You start out on top but turn around while he’s inside you so you end up facing the opposite direction. Ride him rodeo-style. Then, using your hands to steady yourself, lift one leg over your body and begin to turn sideways. Continue rotating, stopping at intervals for a few thrusts, until you’re facing away from him again.

Why you'll love it:

Not only does he get a unique “corkscrew” feeling on his penis as you’re turning around, but he’s simultaneously treated to a revolving-restaurant-type view of your body. And his erection points out instead of up -- an instant arousal tool. You can vary the thrusting to make things even more interesting. Grind into him slowly then suddenly speed up, or try changing the depth of penetration.

Not terribly flexible

Missonary Position

Missonary Position

How to do it:

This one requires zero imagination -- you lie on your back with your legs apart; he lies between them and penetrates you. And that’s about it! Make it a bit more interesting by putting one or two firm pillows under your bottom and either pulling your knees up to your chest or wrapping your legs around his back for deeper penetration. It’s not great for manual stimulation of your clitoris, but it can make him last longer if he’s a premature ejaculator.

Why you'll love it:

It’s got a bad reputation as being the world’s most boring position, but there’s a reason why the missionary style is a favourite for couples. In a word, it’s comfortable. You can talk and kiss. It’s easy. It was probably the first position in which you had intercourse, and I suspect it’ll be the last. And I bet my gorgeous new black-vinyl wedges it was the position you had sex in last night. Having a fat day? The missionary position is appealing because of the flat-tummy thing. Sort of interested in sex but don’t feel like making an effort? Missionary wins again. Have to do it right now? Guess what position you’re most likely to choose?

I can barely tie my shoes

CAT Position

How to do it:

CAT stands for the Coital Alignment Technique -- an entirely new approach to intercourse that is credited with producing more orgasms for women than any other! Interested? Thought you might be! The theory behind it is simple -- you “rock” rather than thrust -- but it takes a bit of getting used to. He gets on top of you, lining up his pelvis over yours. He’s inside but riding “high” so that his shaft is outside your vagina and pressing against your mons. He lies on top of you, resting his full weight rather than propping himself up, while you wrap your legs around his thighs and put your ankles on his calves. Use your pelvis to move, not your arms or legs. Push up and forward to force his pelvis backward; he stays pressed close to you and penetrates, then forces your pelvis backward and downward, causing his penis to rock forward and push on your mons. Keep your clitoris pressed tight against the base of his penis. Don’t speed up to orgasm but maintain a steady, even pace.

Why you'll love it:

US psychotherapist Edward Eichel invented it because he decided, rather sensibly, that clitoral stimulation, which the in-out motion of thrusting is pathetically hopeless at achieving, is necessary for women to orgasm. Of the 43 men and women on whom Eichel tested CAT, 77 percent of the women orgasmed during intercourse after mastering the technique, compared to 23 percent at the start. There is also more of a chance of simultaneous orgasm with this position than with any other.
